How to request account deletion
- Email support@bytruenorth.com from the email address associated with your DeTour account.
- Use the subject line: DeTour Account Deletion Request.
- Include the Google account email used to sign in to DeTour.
- We may contact you to verify the request before deleting the account.
What data is deleted
- Account profile information stored for DeTour.
- Saved trigger places.
- Support contacts stored in the app backend.
- Route history and route event records associated with the account.
- Membership state tied to the account in the app backend.
What data may be retained
- Purchase and billing records may be retained as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
- Security, abuse-prevention, and limited operational logs may be retained for a reasonable period where necessary.
- Some crash or analytics records may remain in aggregated or de-identified form.
Retention timing
We aim to process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe after identity verification. Some retained records may be kept only for the period required by law, security, or financial recordkeeping obligations.
Subscriptions
Deleting a DeTour account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. Users should manage or cancel subscriptions directly through Google Play.
