Delete your DeTour account

This page explains how to request deletion of a DeTour by TrueNorth account and what data is deleted or retained.

How to request account deletion

  1. Email support@bytruenorth.com from the email address associated with your DeTour account.
  2. Use the subject line: DeTour Account Deletion Request.
  3. Include the Google account email used to sign in to DeTour.
  4. We may contact you to verify the request before deleting the account.

What data is deleted

  • Account profile information stored for DeTour.
  • Saved trigger places.
  • Support contacts stored in the app backend.
  • Route history and route event records associated with the account.
  • Membership state tied to the account in the app backend.

What data may be retained

  • Purchase and billing records may be retained as needed for accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
  • Security, abuse-prevention, and limited operational logs may be retained for a reasonable period where necessary.
  • Some crash or analytics records may remain in aggregated or de-identified form.

Retention timing

We aim to process deletion requests within a reasonable timeframe after identity verification. Some retained records may be kept only for the period required by law, security, or financial recordkeeping obligations.

Subscriptions

Deleting a DeTour account does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription. Users should manage or cancel subscriptions directly through Google Play.
